Book review: The Surrogate by Louise Jensen. @Fab_fiction #bookreview #thriller #amreading #bookblogger

This is the 3rd offering from Louise Jensen and I think this is the best story yet.

The story focuses on Kat, a woman approaching 30 who is unable to have children. After a couple of failed adoption attempts, an old friend resurface with an offer too tempting to turn down. Throughout the book, Kat is suspicious of Lisa & her true motives but her desperation for a child overrides any misgivings.

Something that I have enjoyed in all of Jensen’s books so far is that of course, the reader knows that something is not quite right. The thing is, I can’t for the life of me work out just what is wrong throughout the story. Once again, I laid in bed trying to work out the twist, only to grab the book again promising ‘one more chapter’.

The only negative to the story was that I read it so quickly as ‘one last chapter’ inevitably changed to considerably more every time! I can’t wait for Jensen’s fourth offering… she is fast becoming a firm favourite.
